Sarah Hallard, owner of Sarah’s Sewing, has all the right traits for a dress-maker. She’s skilled, having made her own clothing for years, she’s practical and, last but not least, she has the imagination necessary for her creative endeavours. “When I am looking at a garment on my mannequin and it is in the final stages, if I can easily imagine someone moving round in it and dancing and twirling, then I have finished. I can put the last stitch in and know it is done,” Sarah says.
