My 8 year old daughter came in with me and she ordered the sesame chicken we came home and it was excessively spicy. We called the restaurant to tell them and they say it's a spicy taste. For years it was always sweet they never offered to replace or remake it after I said I am going to throw it out. I will not be returning
My family and I had been ordering from here for years. Never had a problem. Until my order was delivered wrong and they called to let me know I was missing the egg rolls. They would credit on my next order. I called to get the credit and they said it was only 2 egg rolls and I said it was 4 as I have 4 in my family. They would not budge. I was so disappointed. They lady was laughing on the phone. I will NEVER go back. So sad.
If it wasn't the only chinese place open late I would scrap it.
It closes at 11:00pm (tonight). After receiving a busy line at 9:45pm, I repeatedly called until 10:40pm.. still busy.
Appalled by ChristopherN's post, it's no surprise they had delivery problems or were just too lazy to make any more orders. Best option? leave the phone off the hook.
The only thing going for them is their later hours and maybe new management soon. Decent food from indecent people; Lucky Garden is last resort.
this restaurant is great for takeout. they always give you a decent amount of food. have been ordering takeout from this place for over 2 years and will continue going here. Decent menu
Ordered delivery online, only for them to call ONE minute later and tell me my food was ready for pickup. When I told them I ordered delivery, they said it would be an hour, meaning I was going to receive over and hour old food! I was speaking with a woman, when all of a sudden a man picked up the phone and started yelling at me, saying that I changed my order from pick up to delivery. (which I didn't).
He kept yelling, so I said I wanted to cancel my order, and glad I did, as I read the reviews after, I saw that someone ate a chicken ball, that had a staple in it, and when they called to complain, Lucky Garden told them 'these things happen' ...
Not too lucky if you ask me.
I would suggest NO ONE, EVER eats here!
My food arrived and as soon as it was placed in leaked all over my table and carpet. There was a gross amount of sauce in the containers and some food was cold. Received no apologies from the delivery man, placed all the blame on us. DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT
This was our first time here, and having hard time selecting our dishes. The server was very helpful for selecting a good selection of meal. Let me tell you that the meal was excellent and very flavorful.
We will be back with more friends....
Have ordered take out from Lucky Garden twice in the past two weeks and it has been the most delicious chinese food I've had so far in Kitchener-Waterloo area. The price is great, very affordable, food quality is excellent, and the service was polite, and delivery was within the hour, even in the snow!
I will continue to call Lucky Garden every time we want Chinese food. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for Chinese take out!
this used to be my favourite chinese food joint. they had the best noodles and their dishes were always seasoned perfectly. however recently ive noticed that the quality has slipped... the food is not as fresh and either our food is either too salty/not salty . i have not returned for a long time and it's a shame because they were once my favourite

We order takeout all of the time from this place, or stop in for a 5.99 lunch (rice, chicken balls, chop suey) Its a great neighbourhood chinese restaurant and has excellent soup - Egg drop soup = excellent, and their sesame chicken is simply awesome! I always order and then go pick it up for a 10% discount as its MUCH faster than waiting for delivery (as I think they only have 1 or 2 delivery people). They are quick and the food is always tasty. I'm glad to have a great place like this near my place, as its our staple fall back restaurant when I'm feeling to lazy to cook :)

Food was good, quantity was not bad, service is better than many other restaurants. My children enjoyed noodles and soup there, since we are pure vegetarians, we find some options there to eat which are also tasty.

I used to like this place, but I don't think they are as good anymore. I thought the taste of the noodles has gone down. I think it's an okay restaurant, it tastes like any other chinese restaurant.
