This contractor ran french drain pipe in the fall of last year. I was sick with depression and sleeping most of the time. My wife dealt with him to resolve flooding and water retention problems we were having in our back yard. He came recommended by a work colleague of my wife's. He quoted $3,800 cash. He left the job with the perforated pipe used without any sock. There are humphs in the back yard that we can trip on. In places the perforated pipe is exposed.
