From June 12 to July 13th, Torontonians will have just one thing on their minds: 32 countries competing for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. But where are the best places to watch the games? I’ve scoured the city for restaurants with the best coverage of all of the matches. In addition to offering live broadcasts of the games, many of these restos will also have daily specials, prizes and other extras during World Cup.
Café Diplomatico is celebrating the World Cup big time. Kicking off the games on June 12th, Sportsnet 590 The Fan will be live on location with Norm Rumack from 11 am-3 pm. Then from June 13-17, they’re extending their patio by 250 seats! In between, they’ve got two Sony 4K 80” TVs with a chance to win a Sony 4K 40” TV, celebrations for Puma Day, Amsterdam Day & Sony Day, and a Final Game Street Party on Sunday July 13 from noon to midnight.
On Friday June 13th, Tapas at Embrujo launches their new Tapas Bar Lounge on the lower level, just in time to cheer on Spain on their quest for a third straight World Cup! Stay cool as the games heat up with great tapas and sangrias. Doors open at 2:30pm. Go La Furia Roja!
