This is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants because of the food alone. Sure the service is nothing to write home about, and the atmosphere is just above par- I go here for the food! Their peking duck is great, the fried beef with broccoli is even better and the braised tofu dishes are awesome as well. Highly recommended.

Have been to both locations (Ellesmere location & Steeles location, which just recently opened by the Scarborough NE Wal-mart Super Centre on Steeles between Middlefield & Markham Rds.)
Excellent Food, Great Portions, Friendly Staff, Extremely Reasonable Prices.
I definitely recommend this restaurant (both locations) for anyone looking for any of the above lines.

Great place for a quick grab-and-go. Located in the heart of downtown, for the price you pay, the food is adequate and it offers a great variety of Vietnamese food. When you order the food, it gets served in literally 3 minutes. It's that fast. The portion is also enough to fill your hunger for a few hours. I liked this place since 10 years ago. They always serve good quality food, with reasonable price. Every time before I go to airport or back to Canada, I always visit this nice place. The location is very convenience. I try a lots of Asian buffet around the world, this one is my favourite one. It’s already getting so popular around Asian tourist and flight attendants. If someone who like Asian traditional food, and wants enjoying different food cultures, I really recommend it !

Actually, I was visiting my sister and she apparently has been ordering China Island Takeout for years...All I can say is that it's the BEST Chinese food ever to grace my taste buds...Their food is incredibly delicious and hot and spicy when My sister orders the hot and spicy food... We have gone there several times as it a local place for us. The service was excellent and everything at dinner was very well prepared even though we made small request changes. The menu has excellent choices. We went with 3 kids who were able to get their specific choices. Everyone was quite friendly. Last week we went for an early dinner and they were full.
