OVERALL: Just listen to Frank Sinatra - Almost Like Being In Love. And you'll be humming it after you leave Canyon Creek. Or at least i was. FOOD: The only reason it's not the Best meal ever is because yes on occasion you may get a poor cut of meat or flavorless fish. And I have been to dinner and lunch here for a few years now. But the Service keeps this review very high. SERVICE: If you have a problem with your meal they will go above and beyond to satisfy you, don't be shy, speak up and let them know because they genuinely encourage it. If you are rude to them they'll be respectful to you and politely ask you to leave. If you are nice to them they'll become your best friend. And if you treat them like you do your best friends, they'll become family. I once had a sore throat the entire day and without me asking, the waiter actually brought me a spoon and some warm honey to coat my throat. Oh my goodness. Now that is service. ATMOSPHERE: Beautiful fireplace, amazing ceiling, perfect lighting, great music, very clean, very comfortable yet elegant. Take a date she or he will love it. I rated this Keg a 4 but that is a balance of infleucnes because there is a good side and a down side. The good: the cleavage OR the mini-skirts. Notice that checking out some cleavage on young ladies or short skirts is pure entertainment and super. BUt for some very strange reason no waitress has both of them. Its either this or that. What is the story? I dont know. The girls with cleavage have pants, the girls in minis have no cleavage. STRANGE> the other down side is the kids. People, if you have three kids can you ask them to stay at home or leave their baseball caps at home? this is a high class restaurant. There is a burger place around the corner did you mean to take them there? I am not going to come back and order alcohol if there are kids around. The steak was good, the wine was what we wanted and at a reasonable price and my date was the hottest blondie in the whole place but.... (see above) Lire plus

Not a bad place to get some wings and beer. We have been there a couple of times and have left happy both times. The place was very busy as there was a Leaf game on and we were seated right away and served right away. Remember, you are going to a sports bar and the food is good for a sports bar. I've been here a few times over the years and this restaurant does not disappoint! The food is pretty standard for American cuisine and is usually well cooked, though I once had chicken that tasted off. The signature sauce that comes with meals is amazing! Dessert portions are too small for the price but prevent me from overeating. Service is friendly but sometimes slow during peak times. I'd recommend this place for family meals (it's not private enough for dates). The atmosphere has a comfortable, homey feel to it. I definitely recommend the classic rotisserie chicken! Lire plus

Good things are worth waiting for! The food here was AMAZING and likely the best Middle Eastern cuisine in Toronto. And being Middle Eastern and quite critical of Middle Eastern cuisine myself, take my word for it. The Filet Mignon and Chicken are incredibly moist and tender. MUST HAVES !!! Hummous and Baba Ganoush were just barely behind my moms! We've held two medium size functions in this restaurant (20-30 people) including a baptism. We were initially worried about pleasing everyone (its rare that EVERYONE really enjoys the food anywhere), however, that was the case BOTH TIMES! Italians, Greeks and Arabs, ALL LOVED IT. I recently read some so so reviews and felt it was important to share our own experiences so that others would have the opportunity to taste the food and not be deterred. I love this place! I go there at least 1/month. I never had any not fresh fish there, and always leave happy. I can't vouch for the teriyaki menu since I don't order it, but the Sushi is very nice. We did read a lot of reviews about the David Duncan House and were a bit skeptical about dining here last week, We had some friends in from out of town and decided to come here for dinner,We did however drop by one afternoon and looked around and picked up a menu, We had a reservation for 6.30 pm, got seated in the lower level,nice round table in the corner, The servers were yes a bit old school but very kind and did answer all our questions.Ordered some cocktails and got some galic bread,pickles and cottage cheese, We started of with a caeser for 4 that was prepared table side, All I can say is that is was to die for,Crispy romaine rich thick salad dressing made from the scratch. Main dishes were Rack of lamb,Filet mignon,Dover sole,and Prime Rib,We also had a bottle of red shiraz that the server recommended for 39.95 that was a great complimant to our meals,I myself had the Dover sole and my wife the filet, All of our meals were very good, The vegetables were ok a bit bland,the baked and mashed potatos were good, The servers were around when needed and did look after us through our evening, We did not have any dessert just some coffee and tea, Our friends have beev raving about this place to all there friends and made it a point to tell us when ever they visit us we will be going to the David Duncan House , In my opinion the reataurant was great, Not over priced a good meal and experienced servers, It is a dining room from the past era that has been around for a long time so I guess they are donig something right, My wife and I will be visiting again soon as we enjoyed our eveing with our friends, Lire plus

Pulled pork seems to be latest fad. You can even find it at Taco Bell these days! After walking in the area, a friend of mine and I decided to try this joint and indulge in some southern BBQ goodness. What we ordered is described below. There was no wait time to be seated and the restaurant was moderately busy. Service was friendly and attentive. As I wanted to try both southern specialties, I compelled my companion to order pulled pork while I ordered the beef brisket platter so we could share and compare. The pulled pork was very tender and it had a classic texture to it. The brisket portion was huge and it consisted of meat served in relatively large bite sized chunks. In both cases, the meat was smothered in a sweet, tangy BBQ sauce. 50% of my brisket was very tender and the other half was a bit on the chewy side. It tasted like regular roast beef. In both cases, there wasn't much of a smoked taste. One could faintly smell smoke in the restaurant but it wasn't reflected in the food we consumed so I suppose this was a bit of a disappointment. Each platter comes with a choice of salad or rather crispy thick french fries in addition to coleslaw, baked beans and cornbread. The cornbread was a bit dry. I think I will be back for the pulled pork. It appears to be an economical place for lunch with many sandwich platters under $10. Lire plus

I've been coming to Massey's for a long time. Lunches, dinners. The food has always been fresh, and tasty. The servers have always been nice and courteous. The portions are ridiculously large. Pastas, it's two meals. Steak on a kaiser, top with some A1 steak sauce, you're biting into some deliciousness. Their menu specials are usually really good. Just really a nice place to go eat at, at a price range that won't break the bank. Others have complained that they are busy. There's a reason for that. Cause the food is good! Lire plus
