I question the past month's negative reviews
I think the restaurant is getting some bad recent reviews due to someone's bad intentions to try to put the place down.The restaurant has always produced good food,excellent costumer service at a resonable price.The chef is a culinary olympic gold medallist.The staff is flexible and that's why my wife and I frequent this restaurant as often as possible.Their menu is versatile and their wine list is reasonably priced.Thank you La Grotta for always being able to take care of us.

Very good.
We had our engagement party a couple of weeks ago and we were very impressed with the food,service and atmosphere.The food was wonderfully presented and very tasty.The wine choices were perfect so was the waitress who was serving us.We had a very good experience.

I question these "glowing" reviews
I question these glowing reviews for every negative one, because there is no way there can be this much of a discrepancy. I came here with family after reading the great reviews, and found that I should have paid attention to the negative ones. The ambience is cheesy (grey walls painted to look like stone??), the service poor (waited for a long time for our server to come check on our food - which was far below average), and we felt annoyed. It was disappointing and a waste of time and money. True, it isn't expensive, but you're not paying for quality food, service or atmosphere. We will not be back.

We came to celebrate my friend's birthday.The food was great and fresh.Their homemade pie with ice-cream was very good.Their patio is very relaxing and reminds me of being in my back yard.service was attentive and knowledgeble.

Good value
We have tried many restaurants in our travels and to say the least La Grotta has a tasty and fresh cuisine.They have a lot of homemade items on their menu.You can tell when you try their food.Their menu is not expensive considering that the price of food has skyrocketed.They had a band on their patio and we enjoyed them very much.The service staff was very good considering that they were very busy.
